For Students
The American Humanist Association is pleased to partner with the Secular Student Alliance (SSA) and the International Humanist and Ethical Youth Organization (IHEYO) as they host their conferences at the 17th World Humanist Congress in Washington, DC.
Student Registration is $40 per person and includes:

Access to all breakout and plenary sessions

Friday dinner at Oh's Chinese Restaurant with Lori Lipman Brown, director of the Secular Coalition for America

A special Saturday pizza dinner served in three hotel suites
You must have a current school ID or proof of enrollment. Student registration does not cover hotel banquet meals. Students not paying for a banquet meal will still be able to attend the awards program. All other meals will be on your own.

This hostel is located three blocks from the Metro Center stop (three stops from the conference hotel) and within walking distance to the White House, Chinatown, and the Washington Convention Center. Rates start at $32 for shared rooms, and $69 for private rooms.
To get to the conference, students can walk to the Metro Center stop and ride the Blue Line (toward Largo Town Center) or Orange Line (toward New Carrollton). L'Enfant Plaza is just three stops away.
Other affordable options:
Washington International Student Center is located on 18th Street in the DC neighborhood of Adams Morgan. 15 minute walk to two Metro stops. Rates are $23-27 per night.
Hilltop Hostel is located across the street from the Takoma metro stop. Rates start at $22 per night.
Capitol City Hostel is conveniently located across the street from a bus station. Rates are $15-$20 per night.
